Even though, he has sat on Company Boards in his career in MTN Group, Michael decided to be very deliberate in preparing himself for Board membership roles for this substantive phase of his Board career. Michael undertook a 12-month accredited Board training programme – Applied Directorship Programme (ending June 2021) with SIRDAR Group, Africa’s leading educator on high-performance Boards. SIRDAR Group trains and recruits Board members across Africa, United Kingdom and New Zealand.
